We welcome your feedback for improvements we can make to SoundSoap, so please feel free to voice your great ideas here!

Tell us what features you would like in future versions of SoundSoap. Press the "Vote" button on ideas others have posted that you like or that are the same as your idea.

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Peak

    How about a forum for Peak users? We can moderate it ourselves. I think that's a nice gesture, seeing how probably many of us bought Peak 7 on the promise of multitrack capabilities. Or you could bring back Peak, or make Sound Soap 5+ the new Peak (adding Peak functions).

  3. Please implement a dynamic range expander.

    This is often called a peak unlimiter/downward expander. It allows for softer quiet notes and louder loud notes. It is basically the opposite of a compressor. People copying tapes or vinyl to CD would find this useful.

  4. A downward expander or dynamic range expander would be a very helpful addition.

    The differential between loud and soft sounds can be enhanced with a dynamic range expander. This is helpful once noise has been reduced, especially when differentiating dialogue from background noise.

  5. Audiosuite plugin for Protools

    This would fit my workflow better than as a real-time plugin. Would allow me to do spot clean ups instead having to process the whole file in real-time. I don't like the idea of having to do this type of thing in a separate app, unless you have a plugin builtin like RX5 which allows you to port sound files back & forth seamlessly.

  8. Better indication of button activation

    Please provide a more clearly visible (higher contrast) indication of button-activation. This will be helpful for people like myself who have slightly impaired color vision, and probably for others as well. Good software deserves good ergonomics and easy readability! Thanks.

  10. No “About SoundSoap” menu item?

    Why is there no “About SoundSoap” menu item under the SoundSoap menu on a Mac? Traditionally that’s where the version number is displayed.

  11. A less-baffling feature-request page.

    I just submitted a feature request, but have no idea whether it went through or not. What are the "votes" buttons for? (Do I need to vote for my own feature requests?). The "Post Idea" button is confusing. Is an "idea" the same as a "feature request?"

    I have never been able to hear any difference made by the declipper.
