SoundSoap in EDIUS

You will need to configure EDIUS (in its Preferences/Options for VST Audio Plug-Ins) to look for plug-ins in the VST plug-in folder SoundSoap was installed into:

On 64-bit systems:
• VST – /Program Files/Steinberg/VSTPlugins/ (64-bit plug-in)
• VST - /Program Files (x86)/Steinberg/VSTPlugins/ (32-bit plug-in)

On 32-bit systems:
• VST - /Program Files/Steinberg/VSTPlugins/

Because EDIUS does not support latency compensation with plug-ins, you may need to adjust for any delay manually.

Rather than unlinking the audio and video, right-click on the clip in either the media bin or your editing sequence and select "Audio Offset" from the context menu. This lets you specify a positive or negative offset, either in samples (relative to the clip's sampling rate) or in fractional seconds.

By not unlinking the audio and video you preserve the ability to perform complex edits regardless of the ripple and sync mode settings -- the specified offset will always be applied consistently.
